Saint Andrew’s Orthodox Church School celebrated Robert Burns in style this year. We had a poetry themed week, learning many wonderful poems and rhymes from Burns and beyond. Children learnt about the beauty of language, and how we can use wonder to enrich our writing. It all culminated with our wonderful lunch on Thursday of haggis nips and tatties. We decorated a formal table in the hall and teachers; board; and pupils shared the delicious meal together. The sound of bagpipes filled the hall. The children impressed everyone by memorising and reciting each a part of Burn’s Address to a Haggis.
